Nespresso Coffee Machines
The Essenza Mini is a great option if you want to make your favorite coffee drink at home, but don't have much counter space. It's the smallest model, but still produces excellent espresso.
All Nespresso machines require regular descaling, which removes internal mineral buildup. They alert you when it's time to descale, and can usually be easily cleaned.
1. OriginalLine
OriginalLine is Nespresso's classic line of machines which use their hermetically-sealed pods. They produce coffee and espresso and are among the most affordable Nespresso machine options. They also offer a greater range of drinks and capsules than VertuoLine. VertuoLine machines are better suited to those who prefer larger drinks.
The VertuoLine utilizes more advanced techniques and specifications to deliver more performance than the OriginalLine. They offer a wider range of brew sizes, including 0.85 ounces for ristretto and 1.35 ounces for double espresso. They also offer a quicker process called centrifusion, which rotates the pods at 7,000 RPM so that more water to pass through for better extraction.
VertuoLine along with improving technology has also increased the number reusable capsules that they sell and introduced an environmentally friendly packaging system. They utilize an aluminium alloy that is 80% recycled for their capsules of coffee, and intend to increase the amount of recycled aluminium they use in future products.
The Lattissima Pro coffee machine is one of the most efficient nespresso machine available. It comes with a touchscreen display that lets you customize the settings. It also has a rapid heating time. It also has a powerful steaming wand for creating a café-like foam and milk texture. It's not as compact as the other models, however it has a small footprint and a reusable capsule that makes it easy to clean.
2. Vertuoline
The Vertuoline series is a new addition to the Nespresso lineup. It is the only machine to make espresso as well as coffee. It also comes with a built-in milk frother. This is a great choice for people who drink various black drinks and don't want to deal with the hassle of making them separately.
Vertuoline machines have a different pod system that is different from the OriginalLine. The OriginalLine machines offer the best taste however, since they generate 19 bars of pressure in order to extract the flavor from the espresso ground.
The latest VertuoLine machine utilizes a technique known as Centrifusion that spins the capsules more quickly and equally than the Original Line machine. This speeds up the rate at which the water is infused and improves the overall quality of the drink. It also allows Vertuoline machines use a lower temperature which decreases extraction time and improves the strength of espresso.
3. Original
This entry-level Original machine is a great option for those with a small space or budget. It has a smaller tank and capsule container but still can handle 19 bar of pressure. This is more than enough to produce the espressos and coffees most people purchase Nespresso for.
It is minimalist with a black design, and the top-facing button controls every function, from turning on to cleaning and brewing. This is a typical approach in Nespresso machines. They are easy to use and understand.
Another plus of this model is that it can be used with milk, and it comes with a jug for making drinks that have foam added. The machine has 11 different settings for the temperature of milk to modify the taste of your coffee, latte or lattes. It is also able to make both short and longer cappuccinos as well as lattes.
It is easy to select the right drink using this model's labeled buttons, and the base of the holder's capsules has raised squares to regulate the amount of pressure it applies on each pod to create the desired size of beverage. It's a collaboration between two of the industry's biggest names - Heston Blumenthal's Sage manufactures the machine, while Breville created its own powerful thermocoil heating system.
The Creatista's steaming and frothing feature is the most thrilling. Place your milk pitcher on the temperature sensor located below the wand, and the machine will do the rest. It comes with 11 settings, allowing you to customize the texture of your milk. You can also manually froth your milk if you prefer the traditional method.
The Creatista's quick heat-up is another amazing feature. It reaches temperatures in only 3 seconds, which is quicker than other Nespresso machines. The machine's design is sleek and attractive, with a brushed stainless steel body that looks beautiful on any countertop. The high-resolution LCD provides simple navigation for preparing, setting and maintaining the machine. It is available in four colors that include sea salt, black truffle damson blue, sea salt the stainless steel version. The Creatista is also small, measuring 6.7 inches by 15.4 x 12 in (WxDxH). The OriginalLine is the smallest Nespresso machine therefore it will fit on any counter.
5. CitiZ
This sleek espresso maker from Nespresso is smaller in counter space than other models. It also comes with a folding cup tray that allows it to fit larger recipe glasses and mugs. This is a great option for kitchens with smaller spaces and it makes it easier to use the machine for larger recipes. It's also simple to recreate cafe favorites thanks to the 19 bar extraction system and quick heating time.

The CitiZ Basic doesn't come with the milk frother. You can buy one on its own or as part of the CitiZ&Milk Bundle. This bundle also includes the Aeroccino milk-steamer so that you can make creamy lattes and cappuccinos. You can also use reusable capsules in this model, but they're not included.
It has a large 1-liter water tank and a used capsule container that holds up to 11 capsules. It does not automatically flush capsules that have been used after brewing, however you can lower and raise the holder.
The machine is easy to operate and the sleek design makes it easy to clean. This model also comes with a descaling mode, though there's no designated indicator or button, and the process isn't very intuitive. Nespresso suggests using its own descaling solution after 300 to 1200 cups, depending on the hardness of the water. The drip tray, water tank, and capsule container are all easily cleaned.
6. Gran Lattissima
Gran Lattissima is a premium single-serve espresso and milk machine. It has a premium modern design that features glossy and matte finishes with stainless steel accents, and an LCD touch screen. It can make a wide variety of milk and coffee drinks with the push of a single button, including Ristretto Espresso, Lungo Cappuccino Latte Macchiato Cafe Latte Flat White Foamed Milk and Hot Milk. It can be used with OriginalLine and 3rd-party Nespresso pods (does not work with VertuoLine or Starbucks by Nespresso capsules).
The model differs from the previous Lattissima Touch because it has nine drink presets, and only two of them are milk-based drinks. It does not allow you to choose your preferred milk texture when creating a recipe. However cream coffee machines is possible on the Lattissima Pro.
The model also comes with a reusable and washable milk container, which means you don't have to fret about obtaining fresh milk or purchasing a separate appliance just for the machine. This container is easy-to-clean and can be emptying within a matter of minutes into the sink.
Another excellent characteristic of the Gran Lattissima is its energy-saving function and quick heat-up time. It comes with a huge 44 oz reservoir of water, and it takes just 25 seconds to warm up. The drip tray and froth container are easily removed for cleaning. It's also easy to keep your machine in good condition by completing regular descaling cycles and automatic cleaning cycles.
